Shotgun Tori and the Hound are an indie-folk duo from Johannesburg, South Africa, who Rolling Stone South Africa has described as “A little bit of folk; a little bit of country; a whole lot of raspy cut-to-the-heart feeling”. Originally hailing from alt-country band Crystal Park, multi-instrumentalist “…the Hound” adds guitar-driven shades of light and dark to the songs, making them both edgier and a little more fun. Between them, they’ve played most of the festivals in South Africa and released their much-anticipated crowd-funded album Shotgun Tori and the Hounds in 2019 with the full band.
